Material Handler - Delta Ohio
Paid Weekly $20.51/hr
2nd Shift– 3p-11p
3rd Shift– 11p-3a
Shift premiums 2nd shift 1.50, 3rd shift 1.00 (after training)
This position is located in a steel factory in which you will be moving, cleaning, treating, & rolling coils of steel.
Requirements:
- Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Computer literate in order to maintain associated production documents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace
- Forklift is a plus, overhead crane experience is a plus, ability to read tape measure, working a non temp controlled environment, attention to detail, safety oriented
This is a physically demanding job which requires standing, bending, twisting, stooping and the ability to move up to 50 lbs.
Orientations are very safety based and could be anywhere from 2-3 days with each day have on-the-job training.
Steel toes, long sleeves and will to wear sleeve cuffs, hard hat, safety goggles and ear protection.
Responsibilities include:
- Store finished goods in the warehouse
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Receive incoming materials and enter them into the computer system
- Stage loads, band materials, and generate tags
- Inspect coils for correct gauge, width, and any visible damage
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
