Job Summary:
Operators must be highly safety conscious, quality focused, proficient and accurate using tape measures, mechanically inclined, and experienced in computerized reporting.
Job Duties:
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Maintain a safe working environment by following environments by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents
• Maintain company's quality standards
• Run the job by starting the machines, monitoring the production and running the number of sets specified on the slitting ticket
• Properly label all rolls produced
• Prepare entries into AS400 of data collected
• Adjust the machine during the run and respond to problems found during visual inspection
• Review the packing specifications by locating the information in the computer system to ensure the customer specifications are met
• Inspect film each day for any defects
• Review packing specifications
• Transport material and finished products to the appropriate location
• Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three years of experience preferred
• Ability to work at a fast pace
• Ability to multi task and read production tickets
• Ability to perform math calculations including fractions
• Must be able to read tape measure, including micrometer
• Must be computer literate
• Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time
