Liberty Staffing is currently hiring for a skilled Sheet Metal Production Welder for a facility in Mesa, AZ. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on welding experience who is comfortable working in a production environment.
Job Overview
This role involves cutting, joining, and assembling metal components with precision. The ideal candidate will be experienced in reading blueprints, operating welding equipment, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
Determine the appropriate welding methods and equipment for each job
Prepare materials using tools such as angle grinders
Align and secure components using fixtures, clamps, and measuring tools
Perform welding using manual or semi-automatic equipment (TIG, MIG, etc.)
Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and accuracy
Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a production welder
Experience with TIG, MIG, and other welding techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and inspection equipment
Must be able to pass a weld test during the interview process
AWS D1.1 certification is a plus
